I didn't follow the whole Royal Wedding this morning...but I did scroll through the pictures on People.com. I absolutely loved Kate's dress...a Grace Kelley inspired Alexander McQueen gown. I thought it was definitely "fit for a princess" and I thought Kate looked beautiful.
Ok, I'm sad to admit...I'm turning 30 this year. I know...tragic right? I'm dreading the big 3-0 more than the plague and I'm trying to think of something fun to do this year for my birthday, so I'm not sitting at home alone....
So, one of my thoughts is going to Italy. Being of Italian descent, I have always wanted to visit the home of my ancestors. My father was lucky enough to get a mission calling to Italy, and I have also thought about visiting the areas where he was.
How amazing would it be to spend the first night of my 30th year under the stars at Rome's Coliseum? Or taking a Gondola ride in Venice?
I better start saving now....because this will happen. Now I just need someone to go with me? :)
Well, since I don't really have anything else to talk about right now, I thought I would do a post involving the big hoopla for the week....THE ROYAL WEDDING of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Of course every woman loves to feel like a princess, especially on her wedding day, and all the anticipation right now is regarding what Kate will be wearing? On People.com they are actually taking a vote to see what people think she may be wearing....and I have to admit...I voted on my favorite. :)
My favorite PHILLIPA LEPLEY wedding gowns. I am in love with these wedding dresses. They are amazing, with their flowy fabrics and soft colors. I know if I had the chance to wear one of these lovely gowns I would feel like a princess.
“Nature has no mercy at all. Nature says, "I'm going to snow. If you have on a bikini and no snowshoes, that's tough. I am going to snow anyway."” Maya Angelou quotes (American Poet, b.1928) It's April 9th and it's still snowing. WTF!! Taking the trash out in Dispatch
On one of the nights I was in Las Vegas, Lauren and I decided to hit Caesar's Palace Forum Shops, just like old times. It's amazing how much it has changed in the years I have been away. They turned FAO Schwartz into an H&M store. I was bummed that closed FAO, but H&M was a pretty cool store. Can you believe MC Hammer pants are back in style? I love this hat at Anthropologie....but at $50.00....I decided to pass on it!!! Our favorite store was the Bettie Page store. I found the cutest sun dress that I just had to try on. It took me back in time where families loaded up the station wagon with kids and the dog and headed to the beach for some good ol'family fun. BTW - don't look at my white skin...I don't tan!!! :) All in all it was a great night....
